My third Phaser.io game. This one has movie-like trailer effects and pretty intense gameplay (at times the whole screen is filled with flying ammo). After previous Phaser.io project Spacebombers, I now wanted to develop more traditional multiplayer game - that is, with all players sharing the same screen. Also the gameplay is more story-based this time. I originally planned on having two-player co-op, but in mid of development changed it to three-player co-op.
Not having to worry about hacking in split-screen functionality led to easier development The game was constructed in two weeks, most of the time going into getting graphics right and building boss scenes.
